Infinity Danger is OUT

We have a brand new game on the Xbox LIVE Indie Marketplace! It’s called Infinity Danger and it’s our love letter to bullet hell shooters in general and Warning Forever in particular. Check out the trailer!

You should download it from the Marketplace right now and give it a try, we’ve put our heart and soul into it and we’re very happy with the results!

Not a bad game and can see the homage to Warning Forever. Although, I’m surprised no one spotted some game breaking issues.

The borders are really tight and make you feel constricted. This makes boss battles ridiculously unfair. Yes, you can break off sections that are weaker but when you have 100 lasers going its an instant death. As well as any other weapon type.

The hitbox. Seems like the entire ship is a hit box and with “bullet hell” type covering in the later levels is a game breaker.

    • Soy1Bonus says:

The hitbox is not the entire ship at all, but is a bit bigger than the cockpit which is the usual hitbox size.

And yes, 100 lasers are probably an instant death. The point is that the boss evolves depending on your actions so if you’re going to die by a laser, and don’t want to have more lasers on the next boss, you should get destroyed by any other weapon (maybe even on purpose).

The boss evolves, but you can control how it evolves and use it to your advantage, and that’s part of the fun!

I don’t thing those comments are game breaking at all. It’s OK if you don’t like everything, but we think this game is really fun and a very polished spaceship shooter, specially for 1$!

      • TIF says:

I don’t know. I find it extremely difficult to navigate through pink bullets with nudge dodging. Give me any bullet hell game and i’ll feel more confirdent with my ability to doge tight spaces. With this game a perfect example would be: Looks like i can go right through the openin- nope.

I have tried various ways to tackle a boss and every time you get to 13, 14, 15 or 16…the boss gets so big that you are giving an area the size of your ship. The armor becomes so dense you can’t move and becomes frustrating. Couple that with the super restriction in the sandbox environment and you get some unfair encounters. Especially later on when you have taken off a piece or two. you’ll move up oh wait i can’t move up because the imaginary wall just appeared. Really frustrating.

I still think they are game breaking. I am ok with the “hitbox” but I am really disappointed by the borders and the way the boss will either hide itself into corners and you have to sit killing the core for 2minutes or when it pushes you into a corner and you think you can move only to be greeted by the imaginary barrier that lights up as you hit it.

Sure, it does have that one more go feel, but with select amnesia that suddenly disappears when you find each game has the same quirks makes me exit to dashboard.

    Hi,
I’ve downloaded and bought the game, I like it very much, but also I think you could have expanded the original idea a bit – adding some extra weapons, for example.

Also I think some more variety in the background and in the appearance of the bosses would’ve made the game more appealing to more people and not just to shooter fans.

    Good job anyway! ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re glad you liked it! It was our first shmup so a lot of things can be improved. We’ll write down your suggestions for the future ๐Ÿ™‚ we would like to make this game bigger and better.

  • Postman says:

Ok, my complaints about this first:

    1. I agree with the limited amount of room to dodge. Some spawns of the boss confine you to a very small space instantly, giving you no chance at all. You might want to consider a “zoom out” feature like other games of the genre.

    2. The boss entering – I get squished as soon as it comes in, since you don’t know exactly where safe spots are….maybe an arrow shwoing where danger zone will be…

    3. This has been mentioned, but the edges of the screen are deceptive – I’ll think there is much more room than it really is…

    4. The bosses tend to hide on screen edges a lot – I’ve wasted a lot of time waiting for an arm to peek around so it can get shot. Also off screen bullets are quite the pain and result in cheap deaths.

Beside those problems, I enjoy the game and think the rendered graphics look great.

nice game. 1$ is too cheap. I’m a huge warning forever fan. add the gun funnel from warning forever. hold button direct shot pattern from wide to fine…etc.add a little more warning forever. just a little bigger playfield for movement. But I really like your game. GREAT JOB !

    • WaaghMan says:

Hi cycogod, thanks for your suggestions. We may add a spread shot button to quickly activate it for a while, but I’m afraid we won’t be adding the gun funnel from the original game. We don’t think it’s needed as the bullets themselves show you clearly the current spread, and it would be ugly.

Bigger playfield is the first thing in our checklist for the upcoming update ๐Ÿ™‚
