White Noise Online v1.3 update released!
The latest update for White Noise Online has been approved and is available for download!
It features the following changes and additions:
- New features
- New indoor map: Founder’s Hall
- You can now see the overhead replays of previous games (Extras->Recent plays).
- Gameplay changes
- Increased difficulty for “Nightmare” setting
- Improvements
- Improved shadow rendering quality
Founder’s hall is way more complicated then isla grande since I kept going in a circle xD
I agree with u they shuld put a versus mode where ur da monster and once the other team flashes their light on u u freeze until they take the flash light off u
We’ve talked a lot about this: A versus mode would be extremely boring for the player controlling the monster, so we don’t have plans on doing it.
Versus mode is a terrible idea for white noise instead it should only focus on bug/glitch fixes along with making new maps.
The new map is great! I love the exhibits and it’s just a fresh experience playing indoors! A+
Maybe your right about the versus mode being a fail but u think u can bring lost souls bck from the first white noise but this time they attack u as u see them gettin close to u? Tht be some scary sh*% lol anyone agree? Jus adding more ghostly monsters in da game
Leonides it will make the horror immersion less convincing if they do that to white noise. I personally believe that they should remove teleportation and add in Kinetic movement to make it a different game.
You guys need REAL shadows! all I see are the same model kinda extending off another model. Those aren’t shadows and they mess with the eyes.
Yur actually right zodiac but they really should go the characters movements I kno dats gunna take a lot of work but it will be worth it because its so stiff

The new map is really cool, I enjoy the different feel of being indoors. I was hoping you guys would make something like a huge, creepy mansion though. Do you plan on making something like that or would it be a map you would make in the future? Or, in general, more indoor maps.
What do you mean by “real” shadows? We’re using the shadow-mapping technique.
This new map is really good but the only thing i kind of dislike of this game is the monster’s behavior. I think the monster should be anticipating your direction so for example it can hide in the corner of a door and make you crap the sh*t out of yourself. Otherwise, it is almost always behind you and you prarically don t see it until it gets you if you don t turn around often. It would make the game so much fun and scarier 🙂 .

The monster randomly teleports on the map, I think implementing a new movement system will make white noise less of a rip off along with improving walking/sprint animations for the characters.

Leonids can you quit free writing the same damn thing to them. They will put what they like their not going to be forced to do it either, so just be patient it takes weeks to code/program/Draw/Test/Send certification and getting the update approved which will take a couple of days.
