White Noise 2 – Update #13

The bad news: This week’s update doesn’t include everything we initially intended. Originally it would include a new creature DLC (we’ve been teasing about it for a while), but the DLC hasn’t been approved by Steam yet (they’re a little behind because of the Summer Sale, etc).

The good news: Plenty of improvements and balance changes in this update. Also, remember the game is currently discounted 20% on the Steam Summer sale! A perfect opportunity to bring your friends and scare the hell out of them!

Improvements:

  • Find games: Games in progress or unjoinable are now shown in the results (but grayed out).
  • Lobby: When going back from selecting character, it goes to the lobby instead of the team selection screen.
  • Cooldown times are readjusted if an investigator leaves mid-game

Gameplay changes:

  • Adjusted difficulty on Gobekli Ruins so it’s a bit easier for investigators.
  • Reduced time spent when losing sanity from 5 to 4 seconds.
  • Reduced cooldown a bit for Ghosts’ compass and flare.
  • Readjusted endurance gain when hit by flashlights so it’s not so beneficial to creatures with low resistance.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed Creature Skin modifiers not being used.at.all.
  • Fixed problem when disconnecting a gamepad while starting a game
  • Fixed being able to see duplicate player models on the victory scene
  • Fixed monsters glowing in the Victory scene
