Farm Together 2 – Update #15

In today’s update we’re adding a new unlockable feature, the ticket trader! Tickets may show up when harvesting things on the farm. Collect a bunch of them and exchange them for resources at the trader!

New content

  • New unlockable feature: Ticket Trader
  • Meadow Pack: Added a low fence variation.
  • New crop: Onions (5 variations)
  • Added some color variations to the standard Sprinkler
  • New decoration: Pickup Truck
  • New customizable decorations added to town.

Improvements

  • Improved CPU performance of animals on High model quality. Improved GPU performance when rendering Rabbits.
  • Hill base terrain now uses the adjacent terrain type instead of its own tile. This avoids the square terrain change when the top has a different terrain type than the bottom.
  • A dot is shown in the available shop slots on the Town map.
  • Added a bind to directly travel to/from town without having to open the map. Bound to the T key by default on keyboard, not bound on controller.
  • When internet connection is suddenly lost, the game will not throw the host directly to the main menu, but will ask the player and continue in offline mode.
  • Added a few more options to the farm land images.
  • You can now sort Farm lands in the Town hall.
  • Increased range of most decorative lights in the farm.
  • Xbox/PS5: Added a power saving option that limits the game to 1440p/60FPS to save on power and keep the system cool.
  • Improved “Incorrect version” message to show more specific information on which client is outdated.
  • Added a setting to automatically select the item we’re standing on when opening the shop (disabled by default).

Gameplay changes

  • Standarized storage capacity for a bunch of resources so there’s not as much difference between them.
  • Increased Stock size of town shops. Restock speed remains the same, so they will take longer to be back to 100%, but overall it should mean fewer trips to the shop.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed icons changing size when zooming in/out the map.
  • Fixed animal/fish animation progressively getting weirder on long sessions (over 1 hour).
  • Fixed wrong times on the Recent Players list.
  • Fixed “Invalid Location” when trying to customize looks of town decorations in specific points.
  • Switch: Fixed train barrier having the wrong animation.
  • Fixed “player joined” sound not being played when someone joins.
  • Fixed Next Event countdown not being shown in the main menu when there’s no internet connection available.
