Evil awakens once more to deliver one of its most dangerous creations: Astaroth, the duke of darkness.

Today’s update main feature is the addition of a new creature: Astaroth, the Duke of Darkness. His powers will easily disrupt the team, making it hard to stay together.

In addition to this DLC character, we have done some modifications to Norwood and the Abbey, to try to make them more interesting and balanced.

We’ve also added Chinese language support, thank you to the community for helping with the translation 🙂

New features:

  • New creature: Astaroth
  • Added Chinese community translation.

Improvements:

  • Norwood: Added more cover and obstacles throughout the map (should help the creature a bit)
  • Abbey: Added more paths through the rocks, and opened a bit the previous ones.

Gameplay changes:

  • Periscope: Increased Range by 1
  • Camping Lantern: Increased Range by 1.
  • A few perks (such as Clumsy or Sleight of hand) effect disables when dying.
  • Ghosts: Decreased walking speed and increased Idol banishment time.
  • Creature’s random sounds now aren’t totally precise in position (precision depends on the Stealth stat)

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed investigators being able to see footprints.
  • Fixed bug causing characters to become invisible for the whole match.
  • Fixed creature not being banished when picking the last clue.
  • Fixed Voice chat volume not being used.
