White Noise 2 – Update #1

Welcome back, fellow investigators!

In today’s update, we address a few issues that were found during the weekend. Nothing major, but we felt like releasing the update today.

Improvements:

  • Increased the amount of data sent when an specific bug occurs. That will help us locating and fixing it for the next update.
  • If the creature leaves on the finale, the victory is awarded to the survivors. If a survivor leaves while being the last one alive, victory is awarded to the creature (except on 1vs1 games). However, this only applies when the connection to the host hasn’t been lost.
  • Added an option to disable view bob
  • Quick play now gives priority to lobbies with more players.

Gameplay changes:

  • Subject 23: Scarecrows won’t trigger until 5 seconds have passed since deployment.
  • Rusalka: Energy traps won’t trigger until 5 seconds have passed since deployment.

Bugfixes:

  • Private games that were in the lobby weren’t counting towards the total amount of players shown in the main menu.
  • (Hopefully)Fixed bug where investigators could see their footprints.
  • Fixed creature AI getting stuck on some points in the Norwood Praire.
  • Fixed creature highlights being wrong/weird when playing on Very Low detail.
