Rite of Passage

This last update before the official release includes two new consumible items for investigators: The Energy Bar will grant the survivor a brief speed boost and the Flashbang, that will teleport the creature away.

New features:

  • New consumible items: Flashbang and Energy bar

Improvements:

  • Changed game logo with the new one.
  • Lightsticks now slowly fade away instead of just just disappearing.
  • Changed Play menu button pictures
  • Idol Highlights are now disabled in the monster intro.
  • Chest Glyphs now disappear when activated instead of being highlighted, so the difference can be spotted on Very Low settings.
  • Added a subtle camera roll when doing a quick turn.

Gameplay changes:

  • When an investigator screams automatically (for example, seeing the monster when he’s low on sanity), he will be heard by other people (and the creature).
  • Olkoth: Improved a bit invisibility speed, and reduced a bit invisibility disable distance.
  • Rusalka: Reduced Unholy Power effect a bit, increased some power cooldown times.
  • Subject 23: Increased Scarecrow and Prescence cooldowns a bit.
  • Vincent: Improved Experienced perk.
  • Chuck: Increased Exploration by 1.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed AI creature not moving in a multiplayer game when the host opens the pause menu.
  • Fixed wrong investigator placement order in the lobby.
  • Fixed camera issues when picking items directly below the player.
  • Fixed characters not having set the proper rotation on startup on multiplayer games.
